Making as big an impression this season as the Chanel rocket was the edgy and sleek twist on the smoky eye that adorned the eyelids of models all over the catwalks.

This beauty staple is not going anywhere and for good reason, it’s a classic that gives your eyes a more dramatic, sultry look and the ability to turn heads everywhere. From Prada to Marni the look received a serious update and you couldn’t look away from the different takes on the smoky eye that took over the runway.

Here's our round up off the eyes to stay focused on.

Prada

Legendary make-up artist Pat McGrath, crafted a punk look for Prada. Using a black liner that traced the eyes to give it a thick, smudged effect, she finished it off with a hint of blue eye-shadow peeking out above the lids.

Alberta Ferreti

Newly appointed YSL Global Beauty Director, Tom Pecheux, gave the lids of models at Alberta Ferretti a golden finish. Applying gold at the inner corners of the eyes, while MAC’s Paint Stick in Basic Red was applied in the centre of the lid.

Versace

A powerful display of colour was on show at Versace, with Donatella Versace, also collaborating with makeup goddess Pat McGrath. Here Pat created a thick and heavy eye look to complement the orange, blue, yellow and red hair extensions installed by hairstylist Guido. The meaning behind the bold look? "It’s meant to convey strength" Pat told Allure.

To achieve this look for yourself and create a rectangular shaped eye, use an eye liner like this waterproof version from Sephora. Apply with an angled brush for a more defined and sharp appearance.

Marni

Pat, also worked her magic at Marni, producing a look that could easily be mistaken as the face of someone waking up from a big night. Black eyeliner gave a smudged, sexy look that stood out against the bare skin and lips.Read  more at:blue formal dresses | pink formal dresses
